Completed in 2381 after twenty years of construction under top-secret conditions, SB25 is the largest undertaking of its kind. It is minimally twice as big as DS9 or any other known Starbase with 10,000 rooms for personal quarters, banquet halls, shops, restaurants, bars, holosuites, etc. The Starbase is heavily armed and built for defense due to its precarious position. The Starbase is located in the farthest reaches of Beta Quadrant, between known Federation space and the Delta Quadrant, roughly 7,000 light years from the Alpha/Beta quadrant border and roughly 15,000 light years from the Beta/Delta border.
