About Pioneer

Pioneer is a software solution routing cars (through a GPS Mobile Device) in an innovative way. Instead of finding the best route for an individual car, Pioneer finds the best routes for the overall city. In that way, we can insure that traffic congestion is minimized.

But that is not everything - Pioneer is a platform that enables a City to become an Adaptive City.

The Adaptive City

In the near future, cities will look very different from how they look now. What we call the Adaptive City, is a model in which traffic lights are controlled by a computer system that changes their status according to live traffic data.

The city "learns", and it does not just learn how to change traffic light signals, it also learns about the behaviour of its inhabitants. That leads to the next step: The Dynamic City.

The Dynamic City

The next stage of evolution after the adaptive city will be the intelligent and dynamic city. In such a city, one way streets can change according to the need of drivers.

Lets suppose that during the morning rush hour a 4 lane street leading into the city with 2 lanes and leading out of the city with 2 lanes is completely congested on its inbound lanes. The Dynamic City would then automatically change the other two lanes to become inbound as well.

In that way, the traffic flow on that particular street will be relieved by 50%.

Imagine this can happen to any street in the entire city! That would lead to a state where traffic congestion is not  a big deal anymore.
