We are two students from King's College London competing in the 2009 Imagine Cup. We both study the same course and about one and a half years ago, we decided to compete in the Imagine Cup.

The Imagine Cup

Now in its seventh year, the Imagine Cup is one of the biggest technology competitions. For us, it is the unique opportunity to combine our passion of writing software and our wish to help address important real world problems.

The problem we are facing this year is the millennium goal of ensuring environmental sustainability.
As we are living in London, we realized that air pollution in large cities is a really big problem.

We identified that the mayor reason for pollution in cities is the congestion of traffic.

The Solution - Pioneer

Pioneer is the solution to the problem of traffic congestion in large cities. It helps reducing congestion and therefore helps to reduce the pollution making life quality better.

Pollution is one of the biggest problems in cities that we are facing today.

Especially in developing countries traffic congestion leads to a lower quality of life.

As industrialization continues, more and more cars are being used leading to more pollution and more congestion.
