Constables

The Parish has 2 Constables who are elected for a term of up to 3 years. Elections are held in November.

Douzaine

The Douzaine is made up of 16 Parishioners who now serve a 4 year term of office. Island wide elections are held in November on the first Wednesday or if this is 5th November, they are held on the first Tuesday. Each year two or three Douzeniers terms of office expire.

Constables’ Office Opening Times

Monday - Friday 10am - 1pm & 3pm - 5pm

Parish Meetings

Two meetings are held each year, in April/May to approve expenditure and November to elect Parish Officers

Deputies

The Vale district is able to elect seven individuals who need not be Parishioners to represent them in the States of Guernsey. They are elected for a 4 year term. The next election will be held in 2008

Parish Wardens

If you would like to be a Parish Warden and keep the Vale Parish free of vandalism etc. phone the Constables Office for information, (244155).
