TOWN OF TRIANGLE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PRELIMINARY BUDGET OF THE TOWN OF TRIANGLE
FOR THE YEAR 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget of the Town of Triangle("Town") for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town, Triangle Town Hall, 2612 Liberty Street, Whitney Point, New York 13862, where it is available for inspection by any interested citizen during office hours.
The Town Board ("Town Board") of the Town shall hold a public hearing
on said preliminary budget of the Town at the Triangle Town Hall 2612 Liberty
Street, Whitney Point, New York, on November 8, 2007 commencing at 8:00 PM,
showing such changes alterations and revisions as shall have been made therein
by the Town Board. At such public hearing, any person may be heard in
favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any
item or items therein contained.
The following are the proposed year 2008 salaries of certain town officers
of the Town:
Supervisor $ 7,830.00
Deputy Supervisor $ 600.00
Town Justice $ 18,000.00
Each of the 4 Town Council members $ 2325.00 Total $ 9300.00
Budget Officer $ 500.00
Town Clerk $ 14,100.00
Town Superintendent of Highways $ 41,392.00
Citizens have the right to provide written and oral comments and ask questions
concerning the entire budget or any portion thereof. Handicapped citizens
or senior citizens who require assistance in attending said public hearing,
or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned
Town Clerk to request such assistance.
